I'm a Dance Teacher Now...?
Today my apprenticeship had me going to the Philadelphia Independence Awards Workshop Day at the Kimmel Center where I was running a dance workshop for high school aged students. If there's one thing about me, it's that I will never ever in a million years describe myself as a dancer. Maybe a solid mover, but never a dancer! I have a good sense of rhythm due to playing to violin for over a decade and I can remember and execute choreography for shows. I've even choreographed a

Royalty and History Lessons: Spring Outreach
Today marked the staff performance of "What 1776 Means to You and Me" which means that all four Touring Outreach Shows are ready to rock and roll on the road! The first show that was rehearsed was "The Emperor's New Clothes" directed by Amanda Pasquini and assistant directed by yours truly! This was a really cool opportunity since it allowed me to work on staging and choreography for adults in a phenomenal environment. I had an absolute blast getting to have a bit more respon

NJ Thespians: Theatre Education is Totally Awesome
This weekend I got the cool opportunity to be an adjudicator at the New Jersey State Thespian Conference! I got a small taste of this event last year during student teaching due to the majority of my students competing in it - I got to give feedback on their pieces and help them grow and develop before the 2025 competition. Now this weekend I got to adjudicate in the Contrasting Monologues category which was neat! Another great part of the festival was seeing a lot of friends

I played with my dog, read some comics (Batman/Superman Worlds Finest is a wonderful series), and then left my house to go to a vocal class I had that night. I was stuck in traffic listening to My Chemical Romance's "Welcome to the Black Parade" when I received that text. During the rehearsal peri

The Rocky Horror Show: A Story of Redbull and Leather Pants
This past weekend marked the final performances of Rocky Horror at the Ritz Theatre Company. I loved coming back to the Ritz for this fantabulous and crazy show and it was an absolute blast getting to just goof off and embrace the camp that came with every performance. This show was great in how it pushed me as a physical performer - the choreography absolutely ate down and it felt like a nonstop dance show from "Over at the Frankenstein Place" to the end of Act 1. Don't get
