One Acts: A Lot of Plays in Not A Lot of Minutes
This past weekend was closing of the Sophomore show! For the past few months, the students have been working on eight different scenes which accumulated into the One Act Festival. Under the brilliant direction of Rachel Maselek, these students brought to life so many challenging pieces, encouraging these fantastic actors to push themselves in a way they haven't been pushed. I was the assistant director for this production, and while I may not have been able to see the student

Actors Can Sing? Actors Can Sing!
I've been back full-time at GCIT for a few weeks now and it has been wonderful! I didn't realize how much I missed my CT, my students, and the overall school but that place has become a new home. But the really exciting part about being back is the class Singing for the Actor! For the musical theatre class, we had the students perform a song and dance to The Jitterbu

Turns Out College Auditions Are Really Fun When You're Not Auditioning. Who Knew?
Something I get told a lot is that I overload my schedule between work, rehearsals, friends, academics, and self-care time. I'm essentially running non-stop 24/7. So what did I do to try and ease that burden? If you guessed "Get a new job that takes away even more of your limited free time?" you'd be spot on! This semester I started the job "Head of Student Recruitment" for Rowan University's Theatre and Dance Department. This means I get to coordinate and run auditions for p

Take the Monet and Run!
The past two months of student teaching have been some of the most thrilling, chaotic, and wonderful experiences I've ever had. The sophomores are eccentric but fun to work with and the seniors are all incredibly strong performers! That's been proven to me time-and-time again this past week due to the senior show, Museum by Tina Howe, going up. I got to work as the assistant director, helping students develop their characters and focus on objectives while delivering their lin
